Coming home is the path.

Immersions in Wisdom Healing Qigong with Master Mingtong Gu — on sacred land near Santa Fe, or from your home. Beginning May 2.

Watch this interview to learn about the benefits of retreat with Master Mingtong.

OPENING TRANSMISSION

The part that has been waiting beneath the decisions, beneath the logistics, beneath the careful management of everything. That part has known for some time. It recognizes this.

What these retreats offer is beyond technique, beyond curriculum. A living container — shaped by sacred land, by decades of transmission, by the accumulated chi of everyone who has practiced here before you. You arrive carrying what you carry. The field meets you there. And something begins: a sacred renewal of your whole being.

Aware, allow, and feel. Start where you are. Continue from what you can feel.

“When you’re feeling the call, it’s important to respond to it. To act on it. In life, we wait and wait and wait. The waiting doesn’t literally take us to the next place.”

— Master Mingtong Gu

The Science

What the Body Reveals
When Given Time

We feel transformation. Now we can also measure it.

During the October 2025 30-Day Retreat at SouthWest Sanctuary, participants were measured daily using the Sputnik Bio-Well device — a clinical bio-energetic imaging system that reads the body’s energy field in real time. The data that emerged was both precise and deeply confirming of what practitioners have long known in their bones.

+16%

Energy levels
Rising consistently across the full retreat window

−9%

Stress levels
A daily softening, not just post-session relief

+7%

Right-Side Energetic Balance
Increasing symmetry across body systems

+11%

+11.5%

Respiratory System
Where grief and fear are so often held

Beyond the numbers, the study revealed a pattern. One the body already knows, when given the conditions to complete its own work.

In the first days of the retreat, energy opens. The field begins to form. Then — around days four through nine — something shifts. Energy moves inward. Not because healing has paused. Because something deeper is beginning. The body is releasing what it has carried for years. Old patterns loosening from tissue, from memory, from the deeper layers of bone and nerve.

This is purification. The body’s own intelligence doing what it knows how to do, when held in the right conditions.

By the second week, energy begins its sustained rise — higher than where it started, more coherent, more unified. The kind of reorganization that shorter containers simply cannot reach, because they close before the body’s natural cycle completes itself.

By the third week, the data showed something the instrument had not previously recorded: the collective field of the entire group reached a depth of coherence beyond any prior measurement. Body and body. Heart and heart. A resonant wholeness that was measurable, real, and shared.

This is why time matters. This is why the field holds you for thirty days, or sixteen, or nine.

HOW TO FIND YOUR PATH

You Don’t Choose Between Options.
You Feel Your Way Forward.

Come to the land

Join from home

9 days — Entry path · May 2–10

8 days — Online · May 3–10

16 days — Primary path · May 2–17

30 days — Full experience · May 2–31

The first decision is simple: come to the land, or begin from home. Everything after that is a natural deepening.

On-campus retreats begin May 2 at SouthWest Sanctuary, New Mexico. The online retreat begins May 3. For the Advanced path (May 19–31), entry is by personal conversation and screening only. Reach us at chicenter.com/conversation to explore this door.

30-DAY RETREAT · MAY 2–31

The Full Return.
One Month in the Living Field.

Thirty days in the chi field opens what no shorter container can.

The body needs rhythm to release old patterns — and time, sustained unbroken time, to let the new ones root. The most profound reorganization the study recorded happened in the third week — when the field had deepened, when the collective had become one resonant whole, when what you came carrying had moved through you and what has always been present began, at last, to emerge.

Each day, you are held by Master Mingtong’s direct transmission. Morning practice opens what sleep has quietly prepared. Sound healing moves through the five organ systems — not as a technique, but as ancient medicine returning to the body. Pure Consciousness practices draw from lineages rarely shared with the public. Evening practice integrates what the day has opened. And beneath it all: the land, the community, the field — amplifying every breath of your process.

What returns with you is a reorganized body, a repatterned nervous system, a heart that has learned a new way to move. This is not a memory of transformation. This is a transformation, carried forward in your cells.

16-DAY RETREAT · MAY 2–17

The Primary Path.
The Field Meets You Fully.

Sixteen days is a complete immersion. The same sacred land. The same teacher beside you each day. The same living chi field that the study measured, that the participants above returned from transformed.

The threshold the bio-energetic data revealed — the deep interior shift that begins around days four through nine — is fully within reach. You enter it. You move through it. You emerge on the other side with the sustained upward reorganization the study mapped. Sixteen days is precisely enough time for the body’s natural purification to complete its first full cycle.

The accumulated noise of ordinary life quiets within days. The body finds a new rhythm it did not know it had forgotten. Old patterns begin to loosen. Healing that has felt stuck or circular begins to move. And the foundation you establish here — in body, in energy, in daily practice — continues working long after you return to your life.

Embrace both the depth of commitment and the accessibility of this door. This is your entry. Let it also be your beginning.

9-DAY RETREAT · MAY 2–10

The Entry.
Feel It from the Inside.

Nine days is where the body first tastes the field. Enough time for the noise of ordinary life to soften, for the chi to begin its organizing work, for the threshold — that interior turning point the study documented — to arrive.

You will not be here for the full arc. What you will be here for is the initiation: the opening of something that does not close when you leave. Many who begin with nine days return for sixteen, or thirty, because the body — once it remembers — wants more of what it has been given.

Same land. Same teacher. Same daily rhythm. The field does not offer a partial welcome.

Start where you are. Continue from what you can feel.

8-DAY ONLINE HEALING RETREAT · MAY 3–10

Your Path to the Field May Lead Through a Screen.

The 8-Day Online Healing Retreat brings Master Mingtong’s direct transmission into your home. The same practices. The same chi field. The same invitation to return.

The field is not confined to the land. It is a living presence that travels — through screen, through sound, through the body of anyone who is genuinely open. For those whose life cannot yet allow travel to New Mexico, this is the door that is open to you now.

Begin here. Let what opens guide what comes next.

PARTICIPANT VOICES

From Those Who Have Returned

They came carrying different things — different diagnoses, different grief, different years of searching. What the data measured in their bodies, their words now confirm.

“I’ve done retreats all over the world. This one is different. It’s about coming home — to your body, your energy, your truth.”

Some arrive after a lifetime of seeking. The body, when finally held, knows exactly what to do.

“At 75, my heart got still. I feel nine years younger. Connection to body dissolves fear. This is the real deal.”

Others arrive carrying a wound they could not name. The field names it for them.

“Back home, I notice the great hole in my center is no longer there. It has been filled. I am looking at the world with a sense of wonder.”

And some arrive as healers themselves — discovering what their own body has been waiting to receive.

“I was a GP prescribing inhalers for ten years. I came here wondering if I could heal. I left breathing without medication.”

The SouthWest Sanctuary
The Land Is Part of Your Healing

150 acres of sacred high desert near Santa Fe. Vast skies that open the chest just by looking up. Ancient cottonwoods whose roots have drunk from the same arroyos for centuries. The Kiva at the center of daily practice has held thousands of hours of transmission — and the earth itself carries that history, present in its clay and stone.

When you arrive, something slows. The pace of ordinary life releases before you have done a single practice. When you move outdoors, something opens that walls and screens quietly close. The body responds to sacred land the way it responds to deep silence: it lets go of what it has been holding without knowing it was holding it.

The land and the chi field move as one here. The earth amplifies. The sky holds. And the stars at night remind you of something you already knew — that what is infinite is within you.

DAILY RHYTHM

What Your Days Hold

🌞 Morning

Qigong movement and healing meditations with Master Mingtong. Morning practice opens you from the inside — movement and sound working through the body before the analytical mind fully wakes. Master Mingtong’s teaching follows: direct transmission, not explanation. The kind of guidance that speaks to the soul-body, that lands below the thinking and into the felt.

🌀 Midday

Teachings, rest (Chi Naps), and quiet integration. The body digesting what has moved, the energy settling into new patterns.

🌿 Afternoon

Nature, creativity, and embodied inquiry. Community practice amplifies what is awakening in each individual — thirty people becoming one resonant field, the coherence the study measured building day by day. Chef-prepared meals with local, seasonal ingredients ground you in nourishment as your energy reorganizes at deeper levels.

🌙 Evening

Community connection, fireside dialogue, and deepening practice. Evening closes the day in presence. Silence. Space. The interior quieter than it was that morning.

Structure is here. And within it, the kind of freedom that only comes when you have given yourself fully to something real.

OPTIONAL EXPLORATIONS

Further Openings

Free time in the retreat is integration time — the body’s time to do what it cannot do while held in practice. Honor that above all else. For those who feel called, four optional explorations are available during scheduled free periods, each offered in deep alignment with the chi field and the healing work of the retreat.

AI for Healing and Soul Purpose

A living inquiry into AI as a tool of soul discovery — a mirror for purpose, for pattern recognition, for understanding what is asking to emerge in this chapter of your life. For healers and leaders who sense that technology and consciousness are not separate domains.

Earth-Based Ceremony with Grandmother Flordemayo

Grandmother Flordemayo carries the lineages of earth-based wisdom that this land already knows. Her ceremony is participation — with the land, with its living memory, with the intelligence of the earth running beneath every practice of the retreat. Presence of body, earth, and cosmos moving as one field.

Expanded Consciousness & Embodied Integration

Some participants come to this work having touched expanded states of awareness through different paths. This space offers grounded, body-based practices to support integration — allowing insight to settle into the nervous system, the breath, and the energy body. A way to stabilize heightened sensitivity, regulate emotional and energetic shifts, and embody awareness in daily life.

Santa Fe: Local Exploration for Healing and Transformation

Santa Fe has been a gathering place for artists and healers for over a century — the same land, the same high desert light. This exploration carries the open body cultivated in practice out into the city: to walk Canyon Road, to enter a gallery as a practitioner of presence rather than a viewer of objects. Integration through beauty, the practical and the profound moving together.

YOUR MASTER TEACHER

Meet your Master Mingtong Gu

Master Mingtong Gu is a world-renowned Qigong master, teacher, and founder of The Chi Center for Wisdom Healing Qigong. Named International Qigong Master of the Year, he has guided thousands of students worldwide in reclaiming their health, vitality, and spiritual presence.

Master Mingtong is the architect of the Embodied Awakening movement, which addresses the modern crisis of disconnection — from AI overwhelm to nervous system collapse — by returning people to the wisdom of the body and the field. His teaching is transmission-based: he doesn’t just explain concepts, he activates energy. Students describe his presence as both grounding and luminous, his teaching as the bridge between ancient practice and modern life.

He is the author of Coming Home to Embodied Awakening and leads transformative programs including The Portal, The Path, intensive retreats, and advanced certification trainings. His mission: to help millions reclaim their power, presence, and fulfillment by awakening the healing energy within.

COMMON QUESTIONS

What People Want to Know

Do I need prior experience in Qigong or any healing practice?

No experience is required. Start where you are — this is the foundation of the teaching. Whether this is your first encounter with Qigong or a continuation of years of practice, the retreat meets you exactly where you arrive. The field does not require preparation. It receives.

How do I choose between retreat lengths?

Feel what is possible first — in your body, in your calendar, in your life. Thirty days is the full experience; sixteen days completes the body’s first purification cycle; nine days is the entry, the initiation. Many who begin with nine return for more. Begin where you can, and let the field tell you what comes next. If you want to talk it through, our team is here: chicenter.com/conversation.

What if I have health conditions or physical limitations?

Wisdom Healing Qigong is fully adaptable. Every movement practice can be done standing, seated, or lying down. Many who arrive carrying serious physical, emotional, or neurological challenges find that the retreat container — the land, the field, the sustained immersion — is precisely what their body needed and had been waiting for. For anything specific to your situation, reach out. Our team can speak to your individual questions.

Are meals and accommodations included?

Yes. All-inclusive packages include chef-prepared meals with local and seasonal ingredients and lodging. Every meal is designed to support the body as it moves through the energetic work of the retreat. Commuter options (tuition and meals without lodging) are available for those based locally.
