Path Live: Enter The Path of Embodied Awakening

You bought the book. Now practice it with me.

Coming Home to Embodied Awakening opens a door: you can come back into relationship with your body — not only understanding yourself differently, but feeling, responding and living differently.

Reading opens that door. Practice is how you walk through it.

Every Thursday morning, Master Mingtong Gu leads ninety minutes of live Wisdom Healing Qigong with practitioners around the world. Movement, sound, meditation, and teaching that responds to what is actually present in the room that week.

He leads every session himself. Not a recording of him. Him.

The book gives you the map. Path Live gives you somewhere to practice

Maybe you have already begun reading. Maybe the book only just arrived, or one passage stopped you and you have not picked it up since. Wherever you are, there is nothing you need to finish before Thursday.

A book can explain Embodied Awakening with real precision. What it cannot do is meet you — feel that your shoulders are up around your ears this morning, or that this week has been heavier than the last, and change what happens next because of it.

That is what a living teacher adds. A Thursday that arrives whether or not you scheduled it. People already practicing when you enter. Something you feel rather than read about.

Why Thursday matters more than motivation

Most of us already have things we intend to do. Books we mean to finish. Meditations we mean to return to. Practices we know are good for us, waiting for a better week that keeps not arriving.

Thursday solves one small and surprisingly important problem: you do not have to decide when to practice.

The hour arrives.
The teacher is there.
The people are there.
You come.

Some weeks you will arrive energized, some weeks exhausted, some weeks with no idea what you are carrying. You begin exactly where your body is that morning. That is not a compromise — it is the practice.

The rhythm comes from somewhere other than your own resolve. At least at the beginning, that changes everything.

Why he still teaches it live, every week

When Master Mingtong trained in China under Grandmaster Dr. Pang Ming, one feature of that environment shaped everything about how he teaches now: people practiced together. Not occasionally. Daily, in large numbers, over years — inside a hospital that used no medicine.

Wisdom Healing Qigong is deeply personal. Only you can feel your body. Only you can discover what happens when the mind becomes quiet enough to listen inward.

And something else becomes available when you are not doing it alone.

Individual and collective. Your own body, and a room breathing with you.

Your experience, and a community that has been practicing for years before you arrived.

That is what Thursday adds to what the book has already given you.

What begins to change when you keep returning

The deepest changes are cumulative, which is another way of saying you rarely notice them on the day they happen.

You catch tension sooner. You recover from emotional overwhelm more quickly. Breath drops lower in the body without being told to. You recognize contraction before it takes the whole day. More energy is available than you expected, and more space inside.

“My main discovery is that I hold tension and fear in my heart. As I let go of this tension — or the tension lets go of me — a deeper relaxation and body presence emerges, and the tension is transformed to energy.”

— Kate McDonald

“I finally experience my capacity to affect my reality through changing my responses and perceptions. There really is an alternative to being overwhelmed by emotion as I have been so often in the past.”

— Sara Winter

“I have faith in my power to shift from contraction through practice and the chi field, rather than seeking others to fix me.”

— Sarah Allen

One of the most important shifts is also the plainest. Maria, after months of practice, put it this way:

“Sometimes I can do more than I was thinking. That means I feel more empowered now.”

— Maria Fofana-Schmitz

Not because life has become easier. Because capacity grows.

That is what a practice does to a baseline.

After eight weeks, 105 members were surveyed:

100%

Improved connection between body and self

98%

More love and peace

93%

Reduced stress and freer energy

94%

Increased creativity

Self-reported outcomes from a survey of 105 Path Live members. Individual experience varies. Wisdom Healing Qigong is a practice for wellbeing — it is not medical care and does not replace treatment from your physician.

If you also bought the 8-session course, keep it.

The course and Path Live do different work, and neither replaces the other.

The 8-session course is an arc. Structured teachings and practices you move through at your own pace, in your own week, as many times as you like.

Path Live is a rhythm. Every Thursday you return to movement, sound, meditation and live teaching with Master Mingtong and the people practicing alongside you.

An arc has an end. A rhythm does not. They work well together, and you do not need to finish one before beginning the other.

Master Mingtong Gu

Lineage of Grandmaster Dr. Pang Ming · Founder, The Chi Center and Southwest Sanctuary · Teaching Path Live live, every week, for over twelve years

He grew up in rural China during the Cultural Revolution and became the first from his village to attend college, later earning two master’s degrees including an MFA from Ohio State University. It was during those graduate years, far from home, that he began returning to the wisdom of his own culture.

In 1997 he went back to China for advanced training under Grandmaster Dr. Pang Ming, whose medicine-less hospital became one of the largest Qigong healing centers in the world.

Through consistent practice he came through his own long-standing conditions — asthma, scoliosis, back pain, kidney weakness. His teaching begins from what that taught him.

He is the founder of The Chi Center and the Southwest Sanctuary, and the author of the book now on its way to you.

Questions

What if I can’t make Thursday mornings?

The full replay is in your account within 24 hours and stays there. Many members practice mostly from replays. Come live when you can — the room is different, and worth feeling at least once — but the practice does not require it.

Do I need experience?

No. Newcomers and fifteen-year practitioners are in the same session, and Master Mingtong guides so that both can follow. Everything can be done seated. Nothing needs to be caught up on.

Do I need to finish the book first?

No. The book and the practice deepen each other in either order. Many members read a chapter and recognize something they first felt on a Thursday.

How do I cancel?

From your account, any time. No fees, no notice period, no conversation required. Within the first 30 days you receive a full refund as well.

Join us this Thursday

You bought Coming Home to Embodied Awakening because something in this work reached you. The next step does not have to be another idea.

Feel your body.
Feel the movement.
Feel the sound.
Feel what changes when you are not practicing alone.

Karen Rowan-Tree, who has been at this a decade, says it in seven words:

“It’s been my sustaining practice for 10 years now.”
