You already know how to push through

You know how to keep going when you are tired. How to think your way through a problem. How to care for other people and carry responsibility, uncertainty, grief, and change.

Yet constant effort has a cost. Eventually, the body speaks—through tension, fatigue, restlessness, emotional overwhelm, or the sense that you are moving through your life without feeling fully present inside it.

You may understand what is happening. You may even know what would help. But when pressure rises, familiar reactions can take over before thought alone can change them.

The shift does not come from pushing harder. It begins by returning to the body.

Why Consistency Matters

The Practice Does Not End When the Session Does

A moment of calm can show you what is possible. Deeper change develops through repetition—returning to the body often enough that steadiness, awareness, and choice become more available when life is demanding.

When someone disappoints you, grief arrives, your body hurts, or the world feels like too much, understanding alone may not be enough. Practice gives you a way to meet what is happening without immediately losing yourself inside it.

The Path Live provides a weekly rhythm for that return. Over time, the practice becomes less like something you do for 90 minutes and more like a capacity you carry into your life.

How the Practice Works

Embodied Awakening Is Practiced Through Five Essential Connections

Wisdom Healing Qigong helps you restore connection—with your body, with the natural world, with other people, with collective energy, and with the deeper wholeness within you.

Movement, sound, and meditation allow you to experience these connections directly, rather than only understanding them as ideas.

INNER · BODY

Come back into direct relationship with yourself

Awareness returns to the body as something felt rather than thought about. Stress stops living somewhere the mind cannot reach.

VERTICAL · EARTH AND HEAVEN

Feel supported by something larger than personal effort

Rooted below, open above. If you are tired of holding everything together alone, this is where the body begins to feel held.

HORIZONTAL · HUMAN RELATIONSHIP

Practice resonance, belonging and presence with others

Connection as something practiced rather than hoped for — giving and receiving, being seen without explaining, meeting others from wholeness instead of need.

CHI FIELD · COLLECTIVE ENERGY

Enter the shared field created by practising together

Something becomes available in a room of shared presence that solitary effort cannot replicate — the felt relief of not carrying this by yourself.

ESSENCE · WHOLENESS

Remember the presence beneath roles and conditioning

Underneath your history, your roles and your diagnoses — something whole, and something that was never broken.

Movement opens the body. Sound moves what words cannot reach. Meditation holds what opens. Together, they make the Five Connections something you can feel, practice, and carry into daily life.

What Begins to change

Life May Not Become Easier. Your Capacity Can Become Larger

Change through consistent practice is often gradual and cumulative. You may notice that you return to yourself sooner, remain present longer, and have more choice in moments that once felt automatic.

Exhaustion → Resilience

Instead of relying only on effort, you learn how to restore and cultivate your energy.

Overwhelm → Capacity

You learn to feel what is happening without being completely overtaken by it.

Disconnection → Embodiment

You become more able to sense your body, listen to its signals, and respond to what you need.

Fear → Usable Energy

You learn to recognize contraction and work with the energy held within it, rather than allowing fear to direct your response.

Uncertainty → Inner Direction

As the mental noise settles, what matters—and how you want to meet it—becomes easier to feel.

The aim is not to avoid difficulty.

It is to develop a deeper capacity to remain connected to yourself while moving through it.

What This Can Look Like in Real Life

Thirty days by a river

Joanna’s mother died suddenly. She flew to Florida to arrange the funeral and settle her mother’s affairs — thirty days straight, twelve and thirteen hour days, very little sleep. There were no hours available for practice.

“She had an apartment on a river, and every single morning I stood by that river and remembered your words — that if you don’t have time to do Qigong, at least go through your five organs and say hello. This is my brain. This is my heart. I did that every morning for thirty days.

People couldn’t believe everything I was able to accomplish. They kept asking, How are you doing this? And I said, I think the only way I’m getting through this is by staying in touch with my body through Qigong every single morning. Even though I only did fifteen or twenty minutes, I truly believe it got me through.

I came back in one piece.”

You do not need to escape your life in order to practice. Eventually your life becomes the practice — walking, working, parenting, grieving, deciding, returning.

Why Practicing Together Matters

A Shared Practice Makes It Easier to Keep Returning

Practicing alone can be meaningful. It can also be difficult to sustain when life becomes busy, demanding, or uncertain. Meeting at the same time each week creates a rhythm you do not have to rebuild on your own.

During each live session, you move, breathe, sound, and become still alongside people practicing around the world. Their presence changes the experience: you are participating in shared attention, energy, and intention, guided in real time by Master Mingtong.

This is what Master Mingtong calls the collective Chi Field. It offers support, momentum, and a sense of belonging while you strengthen your own ability to return to your body and work with your energy.

Over time, the steadiness you first experience within the group becomes more available within you.

The field holds you while you learn to hold yourself.

The living relationship

The Difference Live Guidance Makes

The heart of Path Live is the living relationship between the teacher, the practice, and the community.

Each Thursday, Master Mingtong practices with the group, responds to questions, and shapes his teaching around what is present. Replays are available, but the live session remains the source of the experience.

The teaching is alive because it meets the life you are living now.

In their own words

What members are discovering

You do not need to escape your life in order to practice. Eventually your life becomes the practice — walking, working, parenting, grieving, deciding, returning.

“I finally experience my capacity to affect my reality through changing my responses and perceptions. There really is an alternative to being overwhelmed by emotion as I have been so often in the past.”

— Sara Winter

“My main discovery is that I hold tension and fear in my heart. As I let go of this tension — or the tension lets go of me — a deeper relaxation and body presence emerges, and the tension is transformed to energy.”

— Kate McDonald

“I have faith in my power to shift from contraction through practice and the chi field, rather than seeking others to fix me.”

— Sarah Allen

“The questions I came with were answered without my asking.”

— Amina Elizabeth Stevens

“Sometimes I can do more than I was thinking. That means I feel more empowered now.”

— Maria Fofana-Schmitz

“It’s been my sustaining practice for 10 years now.”

Meet your guide

Master Mingtong Gu

He grew up in rural China during the Cultural Revolution and became the first from his village to attend college, later earning two master’s degrees including an MFA from Ohio State University. It was during those graduate years, far from home, that he began returning to the wisdom of his own culture.

In 1997 he went back to China for advanced training under Grandmaster Dr. Pang Ming, whose medicine-less hospital became one of the largest Qigong healing centers in the world. Through consistent practice he came through his own long-standing conditions — asthma, scoliosis, back pain, kidney weakness. His teaching begins from what that taught him.

He is the founder of The Chi Center and the Southwest Sanctuary, author of Coming Home to Embodied Awakening, and the founder of the Embodied Awakening movement.

Experience it for 30 days

Come to the sessions. Feel what happens in your own body. Notice whether you begin relating differently to energy, emotion and stress.

If you don’t feel aligned, you’ll receive a full refund. No guilt. No pressure. No energetic cords to cut.

Questions first? Linda is available at chicenter.com/conversation

What if I cannot attend every Thursday?

The full replay is in your account within 24 hours and stays there. Many members practise mostly from replays. Come live when you can — the room is different, and worth feeling at least once — but the practice does not require it.

Do I need Qigong experience?

No. You do not need to be flexible, to understand energy, or to meditate well. Newcomers and fifteen-year practitioners are in the same session and Master Mingtong guides so that both can follow. Everything can be done seated. Come exactly as life has shaped you today.

I have already done a great deal of this work. What would this add?

Then you already know the difference between information and transmission. The question is not whether you know enough — it is whether you have somewhere to practise that responds to you. Many people here have practised for fifteen years or more.

What is the difference between The Path Live and The Path Mastery?

The Path Live is the living weekly field. The Path Mastery adds a progressive training curriculum on top of it. If you are entering this work primarily to establish a consistent embodied practice, begin here — and nothing is held back from The Path Live when you do.

Monthly or yearly — does it matter?

Only for the price. $79 a month, or $690 for the year, which saves $258. The sessions, the replays and the guarantee are identical. Take monthly if you would rather decide as you go.

How do I cancel?

From your account, anytime. No fees, no notice period, no conversation required. Within the first 30 days you receive a full refund as well.

Healing is where many people begin.

Embodied Awakening is where the path leads.

What opened in you is asking for a life.

You could keep it as another meaningful experience you once had. Or you can return to it. Practise it. Live it.
